In the mountains of northwest Uganda, Dr. Abati’s team seeks out the Ik, known by many through the bestselling book "The Mountain People", in which the tribe is erroneously depicted as a group of hunter-gatherers devoid of love and morals. This documentary shows the Ik to be an agricultural tribe whose members are loving and manifest their happiness during a harvest holiday. Guided by the children, the team members explore a labyrinthine Ik settlement, where they observe a sanitation ritual performed by healers. The influence of missionaries is beginning to transform the Ik’s traditional way of life.
