TEPES (UGANDA)
The Tepes are one of the lesser-known tribes of Africa because of their remote and isolated territory. Dr. Abati’s team visits Tepes settlements including Lopelipeli. There, the team members observe the tribe’s traditional activities: the grinding of grain, the preparation of medicine to treat malaria, the preparation of animal hides and the manufacture of necklaces and bracelets. The team also witnesses a heated fight between two brothers over an unauthorized trade.
